Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized financial support for the Climate Change Team, focusing on daily transactional operations and budget monitoring.
- Prepare and process various accounting documents, including journal entries and cash receipts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with organizational policies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for donors and management, including budget analysis and forecasting.
- Conduct detailed reviews of invoices and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage multi-year private grants, including proposal budgets and financial reporting.
- Uphold financial standards and legal requirements in all accounting practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, along with three years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in GAAP and fund accounting principles.
- Experience with automated accounting systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in non-profit accounting and familiarity with US government grants accounting is preferred.
