We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Director of Medical Affairs to join our team at AbbVie. As a key member of our Medical Affairs department, you will be responsible for ensuring scientific pull-through of key medical strategies into communications across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identification of Insight Trends: Gather feedback from multiple field sources, compile and summarize to provide relevant insights, and communicate trends to the broader therapeutic team.
  • Translating integrated brand plan into medical tactics and core communication topics: Contribute to the design of a strategically aligned tactical plan, develop non-promotional field/affiliate resources, and ensure communications are supported by medical communication standards.
  • Providing input into externally facing materials for use with HCP or EE interactions, educational initiatives, and leading congress strategy and execution.
  • Identification, design, and implementation of focused and impactful internal training programs.
  • Promotional Material Review: Perform accurate and detailed medical review of complex advertising and promotional materials for assigned therapeutic area(s) within Medical Affairs.
Requirements
  • Active contribution to medical and brand functional planning, including medical education, EE engagements, and strategic medical input into core brand/product strategies.
  • Works with TA Lead to ensure external communication strategies and tactics align with both TA and Commercial Strategies.
