Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and the analysis of financial statements for accuracy.
  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
  • Engage in periodic inventory assessments, assisting with the reconciliation of physical items to the inventory subledger.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, project managers, and budget owners to oversee the capital budgeting and planning process, showcasing strong communication and listening abilities.
  • Monitor project expenditures against the capital budget by reviewing contracts and change orders, ensuring accurate project coding and resolving any variances.
  • Coordinate with project management to track purchase orders, invoicing, and expenditures, ensuring proper authorization and coding.
  • Consolidate and report on capital budgets and spending across multiple business units on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist project managers in planning cash flow requirements and timing.
  • Evaluate expenses from various business entities for potential capitalization in accordance with our capitalization policy.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to enhance internal controls, capital tracking, reporting, and financial procedures for operational efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Prepare external reports for auditors or other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Manage the procurement process, including vendor setup, purchase order creation, and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
