We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer in Biological Sciences to join our team at the University of California, San Diego. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in the School of Biological Sciences, including lower and upper division lecture courses in areas such as Physiology, Metabolic Biochemistry, and Cellular and Molecular Biology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology and a passion for teaching. They will be expected to develop and teach courses, assess student learning, and contribute to the development of the School's curriculum.
The Lecturer will also be responsible for mentoring students, advising on research projects, and participating in departmental service.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field, or equivalent experience. They will also have a strong teaching philosophy and experience in teaching and mentoring students.

Research or college-level teaching experience relevant to the course(s) to which they are applying to teach areas
Teaching specializations in areas such as Physiology, Metabolic Biochemistry, and Cellular and Molecular Biology
Experience in mentoring students and advising on research projects
