Job Overview

The Lullaby House is seeking a PRN Child Care and Development Specialist to join our team.

Salary:

$15.00 per hour.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional who can provide structured direct care for children in a therapeutic/residential setting.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children.
  • Implement a trauma-informed approach to improve children's self-worth, learn effective problem-solving and daily living skills, and promote self-regulation.
  • Foster a growth-producing environment that stimulates self-confidence, trust, and felt safety.
  • Monitor and coordinate resident activities, behaviors, and safety.
  • Administer prescription and non-prescription medication.
  • Emphasize safety through supervision and awareness.
  • Supervise and participate in daily activities with residents.
  • Maintain a home-like environment, including living quarters, grounds, and backyard area.
  • Report needed repairs to management.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • A high school degree or equivalent is required; some college or college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with children in a therapeutic/residential setting or related experience.
  • A valid Texas driver's license with insurance and a clean driving record.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens when directed.
  • A TB test within the past 12 months showing employee freedom from contagious TB.
  • The ability to submit to a criminal background check, FBI background check, and Texas HHS background check as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the community.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Schedule

PRN Part-time schedule: Monday - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am.
