Job Summary

The Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator plays a crucial role in the coordination of patient care across multiple areas, including outpatient clinics, inpatient nursing units, and community settings. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and promotes clinical activities for adult autologous and allogeneic HSC transplantation and other cellular therapies.
  • Schedules patient appointments, obtains necessary demographic, financial, and medical information, and provides written notification to both patient and referring physician.
  • Conducts pre-treatment interviews with prospective transplant/cellular therapy patients and families, interprets eligibility criteria, and obtains medical and social histories.
  • Participates in donor searches, interprets HLA testing results, and helps identify the best donors for patients.
  • Covers all other responsibilities listed below.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
