Job Title: Customer Service Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Genuine Parts Company. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve customer concerns
  • Work with the Purchasing and Shipping Departments to expedite and track orders
  • Analyze customer needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Provide timely and accurate information, service, and resolution to customers
  • Work in a team environment, cross-functionally, to support colleagues and achieve team goals
  • Meet high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Take ownership, accountability, and initiative to drive results and improve processes
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills, reading comprehension, and analytical skills to resolve customer issues
  • Stay up-to-date with company products, warranty, shipping, and special program policies
  • Access information from supplier catalogs and websites to provide accurate information to customers
  • Communicate with sales teams, hub reps, and customers to inform, educate, promote, and sell company products and programs

Requirements:

  • Ability to work until 7:00 PM and possibly weekends and some company recognized holidays
  • Automotive or Automotive Aftermarket background is preferred
  • Understanding and recognition of part numbers, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.) and strong knowledge of various search engines/internet capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills, flexible, and adaptive to change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with active listening
  • Strong project management, process, and conceptual skills
  • Demonstrated success in problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn and apply new information quickly while interpreting and offering appropriate solutions to customers
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously with a high level of accuracy
