Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Resort Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our grounds keeping function, you will be responsible for maintaining resort grounds on a daily basis, ensuring the highest standards of litter-free, well-maintained grounds, and supporting general resort operations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining resort grounds on a daily basis, including picking up and disposing of site trash, maintaining clean conditions in refuse areas, and ensuring roadways, loading/unloading areas, parking garages, and walkways are free of litter.
- Monitoring water/sprinkler systems throughout the resort to ensure they are at peak efficiency and in good repair.
- Assisting with the planting or removal of landscape and general grounds (70% time).
- Assisting the Maintenance and Grounds Departments as needed, including cleaning and maintaining landscaping tools and equipment (20% time).
- Performing other duties as needed (10% time).
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Training in the maintenance and repair of outdoor facilities.
- Safe operation of landscaping equipment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees, guests, and owners.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Landscape equipment operation skills.
- At least six months of related landscaping experience.
