Job Summary

The Supply Chain Associate I is a critical role within the Supply Chain department at Excellos, Incorporated. This position is responsible for assisting in various materials management functions, including inventory management, packaging, shipping, and receiving. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cross-functional support in material handling, special shipment of goods and samples, inventory control, and material transfers.
  • Receive, verify, store, and distribute incoming deliveries.
  • Maintain inventory control of conforming and non-conforming materials.
  • Assist with the shipment of cell-based samples and products adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines.
  • Drive and pick up starting materials from suppliers using company vans.
  • Maintain associated records for raw materials, intermediates, disposables, consumables, reagents, and controlled, regulated materials.
  • Assist with Purchase to Sale Orders (Run Rate) and perform pickups of Run Rates, leukopaks, platelets, and cord blood units from suppliers.
  • Participate in department meetings and educational programs.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • 1+ years' experience with inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
  • Previous experience in research, cell therapy, or biotech preferred.
  • Ability to organize information for multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally.
  • Critical thinking, creativity, and innovative thinking.
  • Decision-making skills and ability to work under stressful situations.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work effectively in a team environment.

Working Environment:

The Supply Chain Associate I will work in a normal laboratory environment with biohazard precautions. The position may be exposed to blood or bodily fluids that may be capable of transmitting diseases and chemicals that may be hazardous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on a computer 4-8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to move around the office and attend meetings outside of the office.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Equipment Used:

  • Standard office equipment, including computers, faxes, phones, and printers.
  • General laboratory equipment, including scales, shippers, barcode scanners, and freezers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Experience: 1+ years' experience with inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
  • Skills: Ability to organize information for multiple, concurrent projects, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, creativity, and innovative thinking.
