Job Purpose:

Enhance the health of the communities we serve by overseeing front office and scheduling operations to ensure quality patient care and financial sustainability:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with the Director of Operations to ensure efficient and patient-focused front office and scheduling processes within the assigned clinic.
  • Supervises, mentors, and develops the Front Office Supervisor and Patient Experience Supervisor/Lead, fostering accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
  • Assists in managing patient and staff schedules to guarantee appropriate access.
  • Addresses patient concerns in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Identifies and implements strategies to improve daily operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engages in operational, programmatic, and quality improvement initiatives as directed by the Director of Operations.
  • Participates in the orientation and training of new clinic personnel.
  • Fosters positive staff relations, communication, effective care, and alignment with CHAS Health's mission.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned, supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience preferred. Previous experience in a community health center setting is preferred. Supervisory experience in the healthcare sector is required.

Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Supervisory, organizational, time management, scheduling skills, and proficiency in personal computer applications, including Word and Excel, are required; experience with electronic health records is preferred. Competency in staff development, project management, quality improvement, and financial principles is required. Ability to thrive under tight deadlines, manage high-stress situations, and adapt to changing priorities. A valid driver's license and insurance are required. Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive environment is essential.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate, listen, and sit. The employee may occasionally need to move around the facility; use hands for handling tasks; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
