Optical Specialist

Job Summary

Premise Health is seeking a highly skilled Optical Specialist to join our team in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists patients in a timely and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Answers patient questions regarding their benefits and provides clear guidance on available options.
• Safely operates optical machinery and ensures accurate dispensing of spectacles according to Vision Center policies and procedures.
• Assists patients with material purchases and provides excellent customer service.
• Orders and dispenses spectacles in accordance with Vision Center policies and procedures.
• Repairs spectacles as brought in by patients and ensures timely completion of tasks.
• Checks out patients and documents material sales and/or payment collection from patient on encounter forms.
• Obtains and documents vision insurance benefit authorizations for exams and materials.
• Enters information into computer in a timely manner and ensures accurate data entry.
• Reconciles End of Day reports and ensures accuracy in financial transactions.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ABO Certification required.
• Two to three years optometric dispensary experience with a multi-line telephone system preferred.
