You'll also be responsible for safely operating optical machinery, assisting patients with material purchases, and ordering and dispensing spectacles according to our Vision Center policies and procedures.

Our ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, ABO certification, and two to three years of optometric dispensary experience with a multi-line telephone system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist patients in a timely and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls and direct patients to the appropriate resources
  • Assist patients with material purchases
  • Safely operate optical machinery
  • Order and dispense spectacles according to Vision Center policies and procedures
  • Repair spectacles as brought in by patients
  • Check out patients and document material sales and/or payment collection
  • Obtain and document vision insurance benefit authorizations
  • Enter information into computer in a timely manner
  • Reconcile End of Day reports
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • ABO Certification
  • Two to three years of optometric dispensary experience with a multi-line telephone system
