Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Signal Processing Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our systems engineering teams to design and develop software solutions that meet our clients' needs.
- Provide technical information and clarification during the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Perform solution decomposition from customer epics to capabilities, to features, to stories according to SAFe Agile practices.
- Apply systems engineering expertise to feature designs to reduce overall risk to the software development effort.
- Engage with customer user representatives or subject matter experts to gather user needs and incorporate into the feature designs for the agile development teams.
- Engage with SMEs from other disciplines to fully understand the solution and document the designs.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations; or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 2 years experience.
- Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience working in an Agile development team environment with multi-discipline engineers and stakeholders, developing system solutions to meet customer requirements, requirements decomposition, and experience with CONOPS development.
- Experience working on teams addressing solution definition, decomposition, design, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience performing design with cross-disciplined engineering teams.
- Experience working in the software development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SIGINT, GEOINT, or Multi-INT Intelligence Community (IC) background with end-user mission experience.
- Experience in a technical role of a large multi-disciplined engineering team.
- Experience with cloud-based S/W architectures and systems.
- Experience developing MBSE and DoDAF.
- Background and experience successfully working with all levels of engineering development in large government software development programs as well as an individual contributor as part of an agile development team.
- Engineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology that ensures high-quality software is built and released to end-users quickly and within cost and schedule parameters.
- Experience using Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), and evaluation of requirements decomposition, system architecture, and system design.
- Experience using MBSE processes and tools to capture systems design and elaboration in Cameo or similar tool.
