As a Lead Signals Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, optimization, and testing of systems that meet customer requirements for our satellite ground systems division. We seek a highly skilled and motivated engineer with expertise in radio frequencies, Fourier analysis, and digital signal processing to contribute to our Satellite Ground System Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and modify software systems utilizing scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict outcomes and assess design consequences.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate signal processing software with satellite ground systems.
  • Develop and implement algorithms for signal processing, including Fourier transforms and RF signal processing.
  • Analyze and enhance signal processing algorithms for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues in signal processing.
  • Lead software development teams, ensuring adherence to project constraints and software development processes.
  • Follow established software processes for documentation and management of operational concepts and requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Signals Software Engineer or in a similar role, focusing on Radio Frequency (RF) technologies, including Fourier transforms and digital signal processing.
  • Proficient in software development with an emphasis on signal processing and radio frequencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
  • Possession of an active and transferable TS/SCI Full Scope Poly (FSP) U.S. government issued security clearance is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with software-defined radio architectures.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, C++, and Python.
  • Familiarity with satellite communication systems and ground systems.
  • Knowledge of commercial wireless standards and geolocation techniques.
  • Experience with software configuration management and tools like Python and Matlab.
