Position Overview

As a Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist, you will be an integral part of our team at New York Imaging, where we are at the forefront of diagnostic imaging innovation. Our dedicated professionals are committed to providing exceptional patient care through advanced imaging technologies and collaborative practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Conduct imaging procedures utilizing advanced radiation detection equipment.
  • Execute computer processing and enhance imaging results.
  • Deliver images and analytical data to physicians for diagnostic evaluation.
  • Observe and assess patients' conditions during imaging, promptly reporting any irregularities to medical staff.
  • Perform intricate PET examinations, consulting with Radiologists to determine optimal scanning protocols.
  • Establish rapport with patients by gathering relevant medical history, explaining procedures, and addressing inquiries.
  • Continuously monitor patients' health status throughout the imaging process.
  • Document any patient feedback that may necessitate additional imaging or assist in the diagnostic interpretation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to protect both patients and staff from radiation exposure during procedures.
  • Ensure the functionality of imaging equipment through regular calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a program accredited by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB and/or ARRT-N).
  • Certification in Computed Tomography (NMTCB(CT) and/or ARRT(CT)).
  • Valid New York State License.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary of up to $55 per hour.
