New York Imaging is dedicated to delivering a wide array of advanced diagnostic imaging services through state-of-the-art technology across various facilities. Our focus is on providing a patient-centered experience that ensures comfort and care throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radioactive substances for imaging purposes.
  • Conduct imaging procedures utilizing advanced radiation detection equipment.
  • Perform computer processing and enhance images for clarity.
  • Supply images and patient data to physicians for diagnostic evaluation.
  • Observe and report any unusual patient reactions during imaging procedures.
  • Execute intricate PET examinations, consulting with Radiologists for appropriate methodologies.
  • Build rapport with patients by gathering relevant medical history, explaining procedures, and addressing inquiries.
  • Continuously monitor patients' physical states during imaging.
  • Document any patient feedback that may necessitate additional imaging or assist in diagnostic interpretation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to protect patients during imaging sessions, considering the exposure to radiation.
  • Ensure optimal functionality of imaging equipment through calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) program (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB and/or ARRT-N).
  • Certification in NMTCB(CT) and/or ARRT(CT).
  • New York State License is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Compensation: Up to $55 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.
