Role Overview:

The Recreational Vehicle Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations on both company and customer vehicles, emphasizing quality, efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.

Compensation:

  • Starting pay ranges from $22.00 to $27.00 per hour (and higher, depending on prior experience and skills/certifications), with eligibility for overtime.
  • After approximately 90 days, you will receive an additional hourly raise and become eligible for a bonus incentive program, potentially earning up to $10,000+ annually based on individual production. Successful completion of Alpin Haus Service Technician University and obtaining RV Technical Institute's RVTI Level 1 Certification is required. All training, certifications, and development costs are fully covered by Alpin Haus.
  • As you progress, your earning potential can increase up to $40 per hour, plus overtime eligibility and additional bonus opportunities, as you demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and acquire further RV Service Technician skills and RVTI Certifications.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, with some weekend work potentially available for extra pay incentives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive job priorities from the Service Advisor or Foreman.
  • Test, diagnose, and repair RVs using diagnostic tools, adhering to manufacturer instructions and leveraging mechanical knowledge and skills.
  • Install equipment and accessories on RVs, testing for proper functionality and providing customers with instructions on usage and care.
  • Review and update work orders, customer concerns, and related information using the computer system.
  • Safely transport vehicles to and from repair areas.
  • Assist the parts team in expediting necessary parts and materials to minimize delays.
  • Perform light indoor shop maintenance and housekeeping tasks in the service shop throughout the workday.
  • Document and report any external damage discovered on vehicles.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, building trades, or mechanical fields, though not required.

Competencies:

  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
  • Capability to read technical diagrams or blueprints.
  • Customer-friendly, observant, and well-organized.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience in following verbal and written instructions to perform job functions.

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

  • Requires talking, hearing, walking, sitting, grasping, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching with arms/hands.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Exposure to various indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including fumes, dust, oils, lubricating fluids, mechanical moving parts, fluctuating weather, and occasional hazardous materials.
