Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team at UNC Health. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our orthopedic department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, physical therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients on injury prevention, management, and rehabilitation, promoting optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and departmental operations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) and licensure as an Athletic Trainer in North Carolina.
  • Minimum one year of experience as an Athletic Trainer in an orthopedic or sports medicine setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
