Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to define, implement, and create guidelines for automation.
  • Review and interpret project specifications, managing budget, schedule, and scope of design.
  • Work with the finance team to evaluate automation systems through cost analysis and capital expenditure requests.
  • Educate and provide training for members of technology deployment and warehouse operations on automation system architecture, usability, and functionality.
  • Implement automation projects from design through production, ensuring timely and budget-friendly execution.
  • Design holistic hardware and software solutions for problem-solving with fluid requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through automation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or similar; Master's preferred.
  • Preferred licenses/certificates: Certified Automation Professional (CAP); Project Management Professional (PMP); Six Sigma.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a similar position and exposure.
  • Established background in Robotics or Mechatronic Systems.
  • CAD experience and understanding of best practices.
  • Proficiency with eCAD tools.
  • Hands-on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents.
  • Experience evaluating designs, performance, and logistical tradeoffs for hardware systems.
  • Ability to travel 0-25% of the time.
