Job Summary:

At Choptank Community Health System, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated care team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional medical care to infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

About the Role:

The Advanced Practice Clinician will be responsible for conducting thorough patient assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing preventive health services. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Order and review lab and x-ray tests in accordance with evidence-based recommendations
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring high-quality, safe, and respectful interactions at all times
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, prescriptions, and laboratory results
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and promote effective communication
  • Participate in medical audits, performance improvement, and peer review activities to ensure quality care
  • Develop and implement educational programs for staff and patients to enhance knowledge and skills
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited US NP or PA program (or equivalent)
  • Board-certified in a primary care specialty (Family, Pediatrics, Adult, Women's Health, or Midwifery)
  • Current NP or PA license to practice in Maryland
  • 5 years of experience in pediatric care or related field
  • Maryland CDS and DEA license and Basic Life Support certification
  • Ongoing professional education as mandated by state regulations

Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
