Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage various Risk Data, Reporting, and Analytics products throughout their lifecycle, from intake to delivery and sustainability.
  • Create a scalable and sustainable process, engagement model, prioritization, and communication approach, including RAAIDD logs, documentation, and evidencing to enable internal and external validation.
  • Assist in resource planning, budgeting, onboarding resources, managing vendors, and other related tasks.
  • Be the agile change agent for the team, managing planning sessions, daily standups, demos, and other team-related activities.
  • Coordinate, mentor, and manage work through junior team members across locations.
  • Responsible for creating detailed Business Requirement documents, High-level design documents, process flows, project planning, and implementation artifacts that support regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Plan and set up meetings with key stakeholders, manage meetings through structured agendas, and document discussions.
  • Understand and analyze multiple data sources and systems related to Risk data and metrics, including KPIs, KCIs, and KRIs, across the organization.
  • Perform basic business/data analysis and self-serve information through Office 365, SQL, and Power BI, where possible.
  • Understand and apply data governance requirements, such as BCBS 239, RDARR, Data Mesh, and enterprise expectations, throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure data products and reports are scalable, repeatable, and effective, following agreed-upon governance and technology policies.
  • Identify and track issues, report on them, and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve accuracy, viability, and value.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Product owner specializing in Data, IT, and Analytics projects/products related to Risk, Compliance, Audit, Control, IT functions within Banking & Financial Services.
  • Understanding and work experience of GRC tools, such as Fusion, ServiceNow, Archer, and Coupa, is preferred.
  • Understanding and work experience of Data and Analytics product lifecycle through data ingestion, data modeling, reporting, security, and other related tasks is preferred.
  • Expertise in managing work through tools like ADO, Office 365, Confluence, and Miro is necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of using SQL/Power BI to self-serve data would be a plus.
  • Functional knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management across various Risk Categories, Risk Programs, Integrated Risk Management, and Issues Management is a plus.
Salary Range

Base salary range: $110,000 to $140,000. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement and pension plan contributions, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life insurance, and other wellbeing benefits.
