As a Security Operations Supervisor at Securitas Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing guarding operations at multiple sites. Your primary function will be to ensure that post orders are being followed, and you will be responsible for coaching and training personnel to deliver high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Security Officers and/or other personnel, as assigned, to ensure they deliver high-quality service and evaluate service quality to initiate corrective action when necessary.
- Meet with Branch management and/or client representatives to discuss status updates, address actual or potential problems, and provide support during client start-ups.
- Participate in and coordinate with Branch management to orient, train, develop, and retain high-caliber staff, ensuring each staff member is treated with dignity and respect.
- Assign and direct work, coach employees, and carry out disciplinary actions as necessary, while supporting staff in carrying out their responsibilities.
- Maintain a positive, professional environment in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring staff members understand and comply with these requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate with Branch management regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping, and related matters to ensure smooth delivery of services.
- Inspect client sites to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with post orders, visit client representatives to ensure they remain satisfied with services provided, and cover vacant posts as necessary.
- Review client and company required reports for accuracy and timeliness, assist in preparing and submitting payroll and billing information.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a reliable means of communication.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
- May be required to hold and continue to meet the requirements for any applicable state, county, and municipal license for Security Officers.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
- Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
- Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
- Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
- Ability to be an effective team member.
- Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
- Courteous telephone manner.
- Ability to adapt to various sites and changes in post procedures.
- Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and results orientation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, at various social levels, and across diverse cultures.
