Summary:

The Cloud Infrastructure Automation Specialist will be responsible for addressing support requests from IT team members regarding system outages on an on-call basis. This role involves driving and communicating high-priority escalations to relevant IT support teams as necessary. Additionally, the specialist will oversee the installation of software, updates, and security patches to maintain a functional server environment and ensure compliance with organizational policies. The role requires proactive input on resource utilization and future strategies, as well as the ability to challenge existing processes and propose improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide application and technical support, including management and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server systems.
  • Utilize modern technologies to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
  • Administer information security, LDAP, and Active Directory.
  • Configure and manage IP address management systems.
  • Administer multiple operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
  • Support and maintain database systems.
  • Analyze system performance, identify issues, and recommend solutions.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
  • Proficient in system virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with SAN and NAS devices.
  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, WAN/LAN, and VPN.
  • High proficiency with Active Directory, IIS, DNS, DHCP, and O365.
  • Relevant certifications or work experience, such as MCSA, MCSE, or VCP.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and maintaining server systems and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong team player with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain a strong work ethic.

Education:

  • Associate degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications or work experience, such as MCSA, MCSE, or VCP.
