Job Summary

Saxon Global is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring our cloud infrastructure is compliant with company standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with company standards and policies by addressing non-compliance alerts and monitoring for ongoing compliance.
  • Implement best practices for security and data protection, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve security issues and risks.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures related to security compliance.
  • Work with existing teams to modernize existing workloads and applications.
  • Reconfigure existing workloads to be deployed via templates and pipelines.
  • Implement automation for deployment, testing, and monitoring of new and existing workloads.
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing cloud infrastructure, including cost optimization and performance enhancements.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering.
  • Applicant should hold a current and valid associate-level or greater certification in either Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Capable of collaborating effectively in a geographically dispersed and remote team setting, with team members located in diverse time zones and physical locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on security and compliance.
  • Experience with deployment automation tools, such as Terraform.
  • Expertise in security protocols and industry-standard practices, such as access controls, encryption methods, and vulnerability management, with a keen ability to recognize and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to gather and analyze information, identify potential solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations.
  • Proven capacity to excel in a dynamic, high-pressure work environment characterized by rapid change, ambiguity, and shifting priorities.
