Job Title: Cloud Design Specialist

Enbridge Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Design Specialist to join our Infrastructure Design Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop enterprise infrastructure strategies that span multiple cloud vendors and on-premises data centers, aligning with our IT strategic direction.
  • Drive strategic planning initiatives related to the Information Technology department.
  • Responsible for Technology Design, Standards, and Roadmaps.
  • Provide leadership at an enterprise level on technology-specific councils.
Technical Project Leadership:
  • Provide support to complex cloud-based technical projects.
  • Manage all technical aspects of assigned projects, including project charters, stakeholder engagement, design, resource and cost allocation, implementation, and delivery.
Business Unit Support and Relationship Building:
  • Build and maintain relationships with business and vendor partners.
  • Develop technology strategies to optimize IT effectiveness, particularly in business application integration.
  • Craft target state solution architectures, conducting gap analyses, and contributing to solution strategy and roadmap development.
  • Understand cloud best practices around architecture, security, and storage to meet various customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop designs that meet business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud solutions, technologies, and best practices to enhance performance, scalability, and security.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience designing and implementing cloud architectures in platforms such as Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with security principles and best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and network segmentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate would be an asset.
  • The technical aptitude and experience to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud trends required.
  • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management required.
  • Breadth of technical experience and knowledge, with depth/Subject Matter Expertise in two or more of the following Cloud solutions would be an asset: Server Migration to Azure, SQL Server Migration to Azure, Azure Arc, Azure Storage, Azure Service Fabric, Business Continuity and DR.
