Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Syntricate Technologies. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of our applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and highly available systems to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Provide technical expertise to stakeholders and end-users to ensure continuous normal operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with current software and hardware technologies to enhance software development and infrastructure operations.
  • Develop and maintain complex solutions to improve monitoring and automation of application services.
  • Provide technical assistance to business operations and application development teams to ensure applications are running optimally in production, test, and development environments.
  • Implement and maintain complex SRE dashboards, bots, automation, and other solutions based on current operational needs and release changes.
  • Work directly with users to resolve third-party interfacing complex system technical issues.
  • Facilitate deployment and support of the full lifecycle of applications in the data center and Amazon Web Services.
  • Identify repetitive, manual, and scalable tasks and potentially automate them using scripting/programming languages or tools.
  • Participate in new application and infrastructure designs and architectures meetings, sharing current operational standards and guidelines for large-scale distributed systems with a focus on operability.
  • Serve as a technical resource to internal and external IT groups, providing subject matter expertise for third-party products and utilities used to support enterprise-wide applications.
  • Assist in the development staff's understanding of software products and any enhancements that are deployed.
  • Consult with developers on complex issues related to the impact of development on the infrastructure, working with system engineers and developers to define server configuration settings, leading the migration of code through staging environments to production, and providing assistance to software quality assurance technicians during system acceptance testing.
