Overview

The Security Operations Supervisor holds comprehensive authority and accountability for ensuring that performance goals and standards outlined in the contractual agreement are achieved at the designated location during their assigned shift. This role involves exercising leadership, fostering high morale, and overseeing the activities of all security personnel assigned to the shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all organizational personnel and safety protocols while executing all assigned tasks in a secure manner.
  • Provide guidance to security staff assigned to the site, ensuring that all officers are well-acquainted with the facility and their respective responsibilities.
  • Promptly inform the chain-of-command regarding any unusual, emergency, or significant occurrences involving security personnel at the site.
  • Ensure that all officers receive and comprehend new, modified, or special directives.
  • Assist in the investigation of security-related incidents and communicate findings to the chain-of-command and the client.
  • Maintain security oversight for special assignments and events as directed by the client.
  • Accountable for the proper utilization and upkeep of all equipment employed by assigned officers at all locations.
  • Review and guarantee the clarity, completeness, accuracy, and legibility of all written documentation.
  • Keep post orders and operational manuals accurate and current.
  • Take charge and direct security personnel during any unusual or emergency situations that necessitate immediate action.
  • Maintain daily communication with contract officials to ensure that the terms of the contract are fulfilled to the client's satisfaction.
  • Possess complete authority over assigned personnel to ensure the delivery of quality work.
  • Serve as a Site Trainer as required.
  • May be required to work outside of standard duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Oversee and directly or indirectly supervise all security officer personnel on the contract site.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement or a security-related field; military experience is also acceptable.
  • Must meet the minimum criteria established by the Interagency Security Committee (ISC) Best Practices for Armed Security Officers in Federal Facilities.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
