    Key Responsibilities:

    The Senior Coding Analyst evaluates healthcare provider documentation in medical records (electronic, paper, or hybrid) to accurately identify principal and secondary diagnoses, as well as principal and secondary procedures.
    Employs coding software tools, utilizing all relevant online resources for the assignment of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes, including necessary modifiers.

    Required Qualifications:

    A minimum of two years of experience in Colorectal, Urology, and General Surgery Coding, including Evaluation and Management (E&M) coding.
    Completion of an accredited coding program or an Associate's degree in Health Information Management or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience is mandatory.
    Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Procedural Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is required.
    Current experience with coding software is preferred. Proficiency in both manual and automated coding systems is advantageous.

    Skills and Competencies:

    Proficient in using standard desktop and Windows-based systems, with a solid understanding of email, internet navigation, and necessary software applications.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective in both on-site and virtual environments.
    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
    Competence in researching, analyzing, and synthesizing information from various sources based on technical knowledge and experience.
    Excellent organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining high customer service standards.
    Adaptability to changing priorities and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

    Compensation:
    Competitive pay based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will receive compensation within the established salary range.
