Role Summary:

The Residential Maintenance Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the physical integrity and aesthetics of residential properties, including but not limited to structural repairs, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on occupied and vacant residences, ensuring high standards are upheld.
  • Respond to emergency and routine work orders efficiently.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to residents.
  • Perform after-hours emergency services on a rotational basis.
  • Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs and perform necessary repairs.
  • Utilize mobile applications for work order management.
  • Repair plumbing issues to prevent water damage and ensure functionality.
  • Conduct basic electrical repairs and maintain HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on household appliances.
  • Enhance property appearance through painting and other aesthetic improvements.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards within the community.
  • Manage snow removal and other climate-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; relevant experience may substitute.
  • Minimum of 3 years in residential or multi-family property maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient with maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Work Environment:

This position involves regular maintenance tasks in residential settings, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and exposure to various environmental conditions.
