Job Title: Maintenance Specialist

Join the City of Wichita, KS team as a Maintenance Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial buildings. As a key member of our Public Works team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairing equipment, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment
  • Repair and maintain commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues promptly
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle
  • Knowledge of building control systems and ability to operate a computerized building operation system
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
