Job Title: Chief Financial Strategist

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Vice President of Finance to lead our financial strategy and drive growth at ICL.

Our Mission:

At ICL, we aim to provide exceptional services and promote financial management through strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversight of accounting, compliance, and revenue recognition for government contracts and private grants.
  2. Partnership with senior leadership to develop and implement the agency's financial strategy, vision, and mission.
  3. Cash flow management and forecasting to ensure availability of funds as needed.
  4. Banking relationship oversight on a day-to-day basis.
  5. Development and utilization of forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial planning.
  6. Coordination of divisional/organizational budgets with senior leadership.
  7. Financial business plan and forecast development as directed by the CFO.
  8. Compliance with short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections.
  9. Staying up-to-date on nonprofit audit best practices and state and federal law regarding nonprofit analyses.
  10. Oversight of Controllers, VP of Revenue, and Accounting Department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions.
  11. Maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
  12. Timely, accurate, and useful financial and management reporting for federal and state funders, foundations, and ICL's board of directors.
  13. Preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial reports.
  14. Audit coordination, 990s, and tax return filing.
  15. Legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with regulatory bodies and funding sources, including DHS, OMH, DOHMH, OPWDD, and Medicaid.
  • Compliance and maximizing funding opportunities.
  • Adherence to, fostering, and promoting ICL's values: ethical integrity, compassion, equity, inclusion, accountability, quality, growth, and mastery.
  • Critical thinking, change management skills, and approaches.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's in Science required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in nonprofit management, with a demonstrated track record of driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
  • At least ten years' experience as either a CFO or Associate CFO or SVP of Finance, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience/knowledge in nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
