Job Summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with expertise in DB2 LUW administration to join our team. As a key member of our database operations team, you will be responsible for providing operational support for the DB2-UDB database environment, leading a team in an onsite offshore model, and implementing automation scripts for operational maintenance and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support for the DB2-UDB database environment, including installation, patching, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead a team in an onsite offshore model, providing guidance and leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts for operational maintenance and automation, using shell scripting, Perl, and Python.
  • Monitor and refine processes, procedures, and systems to optimize operational stability and integrity, and recommend and implement improvements.
  • Administer audit-based processes for evaluating and submitting evidence, and update processes and documentation as needed.
  • Experience resolving complex problems logically and methodically, and good judgment to involve and communicate with vendors, internal teams, and management.
  • Maintain Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and provide support for BCP exercises and actual disaster recovery.
Requirements
  • Highly skilled in DB2 LUW administration, including installation, patching, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong hands-on experience with DB2 HA/TSAMP and partitioning.
  • Good command of DB2 basic concepts.
  • DevOps mindset and good knowledge of Gitlab.
  • Experience with Ansible, Docker, and shell scripting.
  • Ability to write complex shell scripts for operational maintenance and automation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience leading a team in an onsite offshore model.
