Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives with or without supervision within the value stream.
  • Facilitate the implementation of a lean manufacturing system that aligns with strategic objectives, including the setup of assembly lines, material pull systems, and U-shaped cells.
  • Assess and implement efficiency enhancements in designated processes or equipment as required.
  • Conduct time studies and process evaluations to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and line balancing.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and visual management tools.
  • Propose new layout designs to optimize material and process flow.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Implement inventory control procedures, including Kanban processes.
  • Assist in training staff on essential lean transformation tools and techniques.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience in a Lean Environment and Continuous Improvement role.
  • Basic proficiency in CAD software.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Lean principles and practical application of Lean tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals in English.
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and develop continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on accuracy and proficiency in assigned tasks.
  • Commitment to uphold USBP Core Principles, particularly in Safety and Quality.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and walking are required.
