Job Summary:

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy and medication management services to patients. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide psychotherapy and medication management services to patients
  • Collaborate with the Director of Behavioral Health to build and maintain the Behavioral Health Program
  • Develop and maintain psychotherapy skills to meet the needs of a diverse patient population
  • Stay current with current research and knowledge and apply it to patient care
  • Document psychiatric evaluations and medication follow-up in the medical record
  • Enter progress notes into the medical record
  • Review laboratory tests and report abnormal results to the appropriate provider
  • Provide direct individual, family, and group therapy
  • Provide consultation to CFHC providers
  • Keep accurate time records of activities
  • Provide on-call services as required
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy and residency trained in psychiatry
  • Active Florida license required
  • DEA license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Board eligible or certified in psychiatry preferred
Physical Requirements:

This position requires 80% or more time spent standing/walking. The ability to lift weight equivalents to that required when occasionally assisting and positioning patients, repositioning equipment, and lifting supplies is also necessary.

Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to adapt and function in varying environments of workload, patient acuity, worksites, and work shifts.
