Job Summary

The Child Psychiatrist provides psychiatric and consultative care for patients using our integrated care model, addressing complex health and social challenges in a Patient-Centered Medical Home model.

Responsibilities:
  • Treats mental, emotional, and behavioral issues in children.
  • Reports to the Director of Behavioral Health.
  • Meets with patients to assess their illnesses, problems, or limitations.
  • Diagnoses and manages affective, thought, personality, developmental, and anxiety disorders.
Requirements:
  • MD or DO and completion of psychiatry residency training program and two years of specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry required.
  • New Graduates can also apply.
  • Must be licensed in the State of CT.
  • Oral and written fluency in English required; Spanish highly desired.
  • Experience in ambulatory or outpatient integrated care settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is essential.
  • Experience with Epic preferred.
