Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team in Scottdale. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other school personnel to provide comprehensive psychological services that promote positive learning environments and student success.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments and evaluations, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), providing counseling and support to students and families, and collaborating with teachers and administrators to improve student outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Psychological Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and challenges.
  • Develop IEPs: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide Counseling and Support: Provide counseling and support to students and families to address academic and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of student progress.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in School Psychology or related field required.
  • Certification/License: Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist required.
  • Clearances: Active PA Clearances required.
  • Experience: Experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with others and independently required.
