Diesel Mechanic Technician Role Overview

The Diesel Mechanic Technician, a vital member of our Performance Foodservice team, is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet diesel equipment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, identifying potential issues, and completing thorough documentation of repairs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Identify and diagnose mechanical issues with medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Complete repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
  • Train and guide junior mechanics to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
Salary Information:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of up to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a sign-on bonus of $10,000 (terms apply) and company-paid uniforms and safety boots.
