POSITION SUMMARY

The Cashier plays a crucial role in managing monetary transactions within our retail environment. This position is responsible for the accurate handling of cash, checks, and electronic payments, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must meet standard security requirements to operate in our facilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Proficient in operating cash registers and managing cash drawers.
  • Experienced in conducting monetary transactions, including providing change.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Knowledgeable in handling gift cards, checks, and processing refunds.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in balancing transactions, including credit card and cash payments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to perform light cleaning duties and answer customer inquiries.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process payments via cash, checks, credit cards, or electronic methods.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and credits as required.
  • Verify cash drawer amounts at the start of each shift to ensure accuracy.
  • Welcome customers and assist them as they enter the retail space.
  • Keep checkout areas tidy and well-organized.
  • Determine pricing for goods and services, and calculate totals using appropriate tools.
