Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently and accurately process customer transactions.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures and maintain accurate cash registers.
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee and espresso beverages with precision and care.
  • Keep the coffee shop well-stocked with coffee beans, milk, syrups, prepackaged hot food, dry goods, and other supplies.
  • Clean and stock Front End areas, including changing register tapes and restocking as necessary.
  • Assist supervisors in controlling customer flow and reducing waiting times.
  • Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly, and employ suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, rotating, stocking, merchandising, and storing products.
  • Perform assigned opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure accuracy of signs, shelf talkers, and pricing.
Job Skills:
  • Patience in dealing with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency with products and PLUs.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to deliver information clearly, timely, and respectfully.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Work an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and climbing ladders.
  • Handling of FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures: 95 degrees Fahrenheit for short periods.
  • Exposure to 34 degrees Fahrenheit and refrigeration for short periods.
  • Ability to work in a wet or cold environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, hand trucks, U-boats, pallet jacks, trash dumpsters, and other machinery as needed.
