Job Overview

HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for managing the cleanliness and efficiency of the assigned facility. This role serves as a key point of contact between the client and the housekeeping staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that client requests are promptly assigned to staff and completed daily.
  • Oversee the cleaning personnel's activities to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and evaluate their work against established cleanliness standards.
  • Handle various cleaning agents and comply with all relevant regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Develop work schedules for significant cleaning projects.
  • Monitor inventory levels to guarantee sufficient cleaning supplies.
  • Distribute supplies and equipment to staff as needed.
  • Address and resolve complaints related to housekeeping services and equipment.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on company policies, cleaning procedures, and equipment usage.
  • Participate in training seminars to enhance cleaning techniques and supervisory capabilities.
  • Maintain records of work assignments, personnel actions, and timekeeping, and prepare regular reports.
  • Engage in staff meetings with other department leaders to discuss policies, address client feedback, and suggest improvements for service efficiency.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Fluency in both English and Creole.
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Experience in floor care.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must maintain good physical and mental health.
  • Ability to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and work flexible hours.
  • Must be capable of continuous movement throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry weights ranging from 30 to 45 pounds.
