Job Title: Donation Door Attendant

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Donation Door Attendant.

Job Summary: As a Donation Door Attendant, you will be responsible for receiving, recording, and sorting donations to effectively process them through our Kaizen system. This is a front-line position representing Goodwill Industries to the public, and you will play a critical role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our donation center.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors and visitors
  • Receive, record, and sort donations to meet Kaizen guidelines and principles
  • Process, clean, and maintain the donation center and surrounding areas
  • Assist with customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform other duties as instructed by your immediate supervisors

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in retail and/or stock handling preferred
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
