About the Role

We are seeking an Early Career Geologist to join our team in California. As a key member of our Earth & Environment Team, you will be responsible for collecting, identifying, and compiling environmental and geological data from various media.

You will work closely with our team to provide technical assistance and support our clients' objectives. Your role will involve generating accurate and concise documentation, maintaining quality control standards, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine field work related to soil sampling, soil gas sampling, groundwater sampling, stormwater sampling, boring logs, and other assignments as designated.
  • Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and field/work site notebook.
  • Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures.
  • Utilize the latest technologies and techniques in performing studies and analysis of organic and inorganic compounds.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related discipline.
  • Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
  • Familiarity with relevant environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision and as part of a team.

  • Member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.
