Job Summary

Pape Trucks Inc is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to join their team. As a key member of the shop, you will be responsible for performing accurate and timely repairs on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with electronic systems, HVAC systems, and chassis components
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced technicians to ensure efficient and effective repairs
  • Lead the shift in the absence of the shop foreman, providing guidance and oversight to junior technicians
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks
  • Expertise in electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair
  • Completion of advanced training programs, such as Kenworth Engine Specialist and Kenworth Master Tech
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have own tools and be self-motivated
