Fleet Mechanic III Job Description

MarBorg Industries is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Mechanic III to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced level repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including engine, transmission, and brake systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using computer diagnosis and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Inspect and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, and air systems on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Rebuild and install diesel, gasoline, and compressed natural gas engines, including disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling engine components.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Utilize fleet maintenance software to document and track repair orders and related information.
  • Provide technical knowledge training to other mechanics and communicate repair status with management.
Requirements:
  • Highly proficient in troubleshooting and computer diagnosis.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics.
  • At least eight (8) years of advanced level mechanic experience maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Experience and ability to be certified for fall protection and operation of boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
  • Valid driver's license and commercial driver's license (Class A or B) preferred.
  • Certified Tire Industry Association (TIA) certification a plus.
Work Environment:

MarBorg Industries is a drug-free and alcohol-free work environment. The work environment is primarily in a shop setting, with occasional field environments that may require travel to different sites. The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, dust, grease, fumes, and airborne particles.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $33.00 - $40.00 per hour, along with a rich benefit package and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
