Learning and Development Professional

At Second Harvest Heartland, we are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Professional to join our Talent, Culture & Equity Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our employees and ensuring the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs to support leadership development, talent routines, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Administer our Learning Management System and provide reports as needed.
- Enroll participants in training, manage pre and post-training communications, and maintain our organizational calendar.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials.
- Create training evaluations to measure effectiveness through assessments and feedback mechanisms.
- Administer the employee engagement survey, run reports as needed, and support day 1 onboarding as a facilitator and host.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and recent technologies in learning and development, inclusion, and equity to enhance our People Team offerings.
- Edit and review materials and communications to ensure they are culturally fluent.
- Provide administrative support to Recruiting as needed, including posting positions, pulling reports using the ADP system, scheduling interviews, and ensuring pre-hire processes are completed.
Requirements:
- A combination of education and experience attained through a bachelor's degree in a related field, and/or a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and advanced skills in PowerPoint and creating professional quality slides.
- Experience administering databases and running reports, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and measure the effectiveness of training programs.
