**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to join our dynamic Mid-Atlantic team. As a key technical resource and project leader, you will be responsible for leading the design of water and wastewater projects from conceptual phase through design completion. You will direct and coordinate water/wastewater design activities of several disciplines, work with a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians, and apply conventional and advanced treatment technologies to solve complex treatment challenges.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Lead the design of water and wastewater projects from conceptual phase through design completion, ensuring project needs and requirements are met.

• Direct and coordinate water/wastewater design activities of several disciplines, including engineers and technicians.

• Work with a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians in the design of municipal and federal water and wastewater treatment facilities.

• Apply conventional and advanced treatment technologies to solve complex treatment challenges for clients throughout the East Coast.

• Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.

• Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers, and contractors, and develop new business opportunities.

• Participate in sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.

• Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance.

• Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates.

• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.

• Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.

• Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines.

• Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.

**Requirements**

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.

• Master of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering a plus.

• Seven (7) years (12 years preferred) civil engineering experience; water/wastewater engineering experience strongly preferred.

• Professional Engineering License (PE) is strongly preferred.

• Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.

• Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).

• Strong computer skills include process simulation software is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members.

• Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.

• Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.

• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.

• Ability to travel.
