About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Inventory Manager to join our team at Dawn Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize levels and minimize waste
  • Coordinate cycle count and damage product routines, reconciling all variances
  • Manage the Shipping and Receiving functions of the warehouse to ensure timely and accurate receipt and dispatch of goods
  • Monitor adherence to food safety and handling procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members
  • Develop and maintain transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency
  • Collaborate with the transportation team to improve inventory returns processes for both team members and customers
  • Work closely with sales and procurement to reconcile slow-moving and distressed inventory
  • Manage internal and external product inventory audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Directly manage team members in Inventory Control and Scheduling areas, providing coaching and training as needed
  • Ensure physical bin accuracy in all storage types (ambient, cooler, and freezer)
  • Lead and motivate team members to achieve goals and objectives
  • Support the Circle of Excellence and Dawn Philosophy of Team Dawn
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA, etc.)
  • Conduct and lead year-end physical inventory procedures
  • Oversee WMS warehouse slotting optimization
  • Liaise with Dawn sites for product traceability, hold, and recalls
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse supervisory experience; 7 years in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Inventory control and material handling experience, with ability to problem-solve in variable situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and WMS/SAP highly preferred
  • Ability to work well with others and independently, with basic math, record-keeping, and computer skills
  • Experience in supporting distribution centers/plants and assessing quality and food safety programs
  • Demonstrated front-line leadership, planning, and organization skills
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other heavy warehouse equipment
  • Effective communication and coaching skills
