We are seeking an experienced Senior Rail Engineering Lead to join our team in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical oversight of rail projects in Ireland, through directly working on projects or mentoring staff in project delivery roles.

The position involves leading significant multi-disciplinary rail projects, ensuring design meets client requirements and industry standards. You will be the primary point of contact for all technical matters related to rail in Ireland and will be responsible for setting the technical engineering rail strategy for the team.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-profile rail engineering projects in Ireland. As a Technical Project Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex rail engineering projects.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to ensure projects meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop project strategies and solutions.
  • Mentoring junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree-level qualification (level 8/9) in engineering.
  • Chartered status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional institution.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a consultancy environment, primarily in rail engineering.
  • Experience of delivering projects to BIM Level 2 equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Salary

The salary for this role is €120,000 per annum, based on national averages for similar positions in Ireland.
