Diesel Mechanic Job Description

Colony Tire Corporation is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the safe operation of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and diagnose vehicle problems using industry-accepted diagnostic methods
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs
  • Repair and replace defective parts, including ball joints, wheel bearings, and suspension components
  • Confer with customers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and discuss work to be performed
  • Examine vehicles, compile estimates of repair costs, and secure customer approval to perform repairs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment:

The Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually loud, and employees must regularly lift up to 100 pounds.
