Position Overview: The Park Landscape Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing the daily upkeep and visual appeal of the park's landscape while leading a team of landscaping personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the routine maintenance and care of plant life, which includes mowing, planting, digging, pruning, and general tidying.
  • Organize and assign daily responsibilities to the landscaping crew.
  • Provide daily guidance and oversight to team members.
  • Conduct coaching and performance evaluations for staff.
  • Ensure the overall landscape integrity of the park, encompassing flower beds, pathways, lawns, and wooded regions.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the park's aesthetic appeal.
  • Assist in the setup for seasonal promotional events.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Skills, Requirements, and Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a related field is required.
  • Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedules.
  • At least 3 years of experience in landscaping is preferred.
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Capability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting, crawling, walking, and crouching, while using basic tools and machinery.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual, capable of multitasking, working independently, and maintaining a positive demeanor.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands for handling, reaching with arms, and communicating. Regular lifting and/or moving of up to twenty pounds is expected, with frequent lifting and/or moving of up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high.
